Police checks in Corby

Officers in Corby, with assistance from colleagues from the Operational Tactical Unit, carried out speed checks on Phoenix Parkway, Corby, at the weekend.

As a result 29 motorists receiving Fixed Penalty Notices for exceeding the 40 mph speed limit. The highest recorded speed was 63 mph in a 40 mph zone.
In addition three motorists received Section 59 warnings, three were prosecuted for having no insurance and two were given cautions for carrying children in a car without having suitable seats.
One person received a caution for having six people in a car with only five seats.
