Pope-Blessed Brooch Stolen
Police in Northamptonshire are trying to track down a brooch that was blessed by the last Pope, which has been stolen in a burglary in Wellingborough.
The burglary occurred at some time between 8pm on Saturday 4 February 2012 and 3.30am on Monday 6 February.
The brooch was worn by the President of the Northamptonshire Union of Catholic Mothers for a three-year term and was blessed by Pope John Paul II in the 1970s. A laptop, jewellery and an iPod were also taken in the burglary.
Northamptonshire's Police say anyone with information about the brooch should contact their burglary team at Kettering by ringing the non-emergency number 101.
