Pregnant Woman And Best Friend Killed

A 24 year old pregnant woman has been killed in a car crash on the M1, along with her best friend.

Donna Morgan (pictured, left) and Faye McKoy (right) died when the car they were passengers in hit a lamppost and road signs at Junction 15a near the Northampton Services at 3am on Saturday 13 August 2011.

The driver of the car - a 24 year old woman - is seriously injured in hospital.

Faye, 24, lived Tenby Road, Spencer, Northampton and already had a two year old daughter and was expecting another child. Donna lived at Brookside Meadows in Kings Heath, Northampton.  Both women were pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesperson for Northants police said the cause of the crash is under investigation.

An online memorial to the pair has been set up on Facebook. Friends of the pair have organised a candlelit vigil and Chinese lantern release on Thursday evening in Kings Heath to pay their respects.

Harriet Murphy wrote of Donna : "You were a lovely person and a good friend to loads of people life is so crewl (sic) at times."

Holly Dickens said: "Have got so many good memories of u Donna sitting on my kitchen side chatting in 2 the early hours, laughing at all sorts. You will be missed so much."

Of Faye, Michelle Shelly Wisener wrote: "R.I.p sweetheart , u were such a beautiful and amazing girl with so much to look forward God clearly needed u by his side x sadly missed but never Eva forgotten u will live on in all our hearts and through ur beautiful lil girl x thoughts and prayers to ur family at this sad time xx"
