Shopkeeper With Mop Fights Off Robber

A Northamptonshire shopkeeper has seen off a metal bar-wielding robber with his mop.

The would-be robber tried to get into Dinesh Gorania's shop in Rushden, dressed in disguise and carrying a metal bar.

Mr Gorania managed to stop him getting into the shop by attacking him with his mop before his son Kishan turned up with a hockey stick.

Northamptonshire Police are now looking into the incident.
