South Northants Taxi Review

25 November 2014, 12:00

Do you often find yourself stuck for a taxi in Towester or Brackley at the end of a night out or can you always get a cab when you need one?

Many of us rely on taxis to get to work, help with the school run or at the end of a night out with friends. With the proposed expansion of Towcester and Brackley, South Northamptonshire Council is keen to learn if the provision of taxis meets current demand, as well as helping plan for future provision.

They want feedback from residents and visitors to the district and the results will be published on SNC's web site in early 2015. The online survey is now live and will run until Wednesday, 31 December 2014.

Councillor Andrew Grant, deputy leader and portfolio holder for environmental services, said:  "It is important that we prepare for the future to meet the needs of those that rely on taxis on a daily basis, just occasionally or may think of using them in the future.
"The survey will only take a few minutes to complete and I would encourage both current taxis users as well as non-users to give us their feedback so we can come up with a plan that really reflects the needs."
