Police executed a warrant at a house in Bishop Auckland this morning and found a large cannabis growing operation inside.
Officers from the Road Policing Unit forced their way into the two-bedroom property in Helena Terrace, Bishop Auckland at 8am on Friday.
A man aged 44 was arrested for cultivation of cannabis and is currently in custody.
A large growing operation was found in the upstairs of the property and aorund £4,000 worth of plants seized.
The action was filmed by a crew from Channel Five's 'Police Interceptors' programme, which is expected to start a new series in the autumn.
