Second Snake Found In Guisborough
Police have issued a warning after a second snake was found on a street in Guisborough.
The Burmese Python, which is around 8ft, was found by a member of the public on Wilton Lane at around 6:20pm on Friday and was collected by vets.
It came the day after a 6ft boa constrictor was discovered on the same road.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said:
"This is the second snake found in the area in two days, and officers believe that they could have been abandoned."
"While there is no information to suggest there are any more snakes loose in the area, if any are found, they should not be disturbed and people and other animals should keep a safe distance."
"Over the weekend, walkers on Wilton Lane should take a common sense approach and parents with children should be vigilant."
