Teenager Raped In Newcastle Bar

Officers were called to Ohso on the Groat Market early this morning - after reports the 18 year old had been sexually assaulted

Police believe a man approached the victim inside the bar. 

Investigations continue this afternoon and Northumbria Police are asking anyone who was in Ohso bar last night to get in touch. 

The offender is described as being white, around 19 year's old with blonde hair and of slim build. 

Detective Inspector Helen Anderson told Heart:

"We want to speak to anyone who was in Ohso last night and who might have seen anything suspicious.

The bar was busy with lots of people inside. We're checking CCTV footage to try and identify the suspect and to establish if he was part of a larger group who were in the bar. 

Specially trained officers are supporting the victim and are working with her while enquiries are being carried out into the incident."
