Global's Make Some Noise - Pathways 4 All

02:07

Pathways4All is a small charity based in the North East, which provides safe and accessible play facilities for children and young people with disabilities and additional needs. On average, the project supports around 800 children each year.

We’ll be supporting the charity’s ‘Make Some Noise Playscheme’ which runs twice a week throughout Easter and summer holidays, and provides fun and engaging activities for young people aged 5-17.

The demand for this programme is high, and the charity runs the scheme at full capacity each year. It enables youngsters to feel positive about themselves, gain confidence and independence in trying new things, improve self-esteem equipping them to take on other challenges, and develop their communication and social skills.

Elaine’s daughter, Hannah, loves attending Pathways4All – and the playscheme has helped her to be confident and overcome social difficulties. Her mum said:

“Nobody chooses to have a disabled child, but you just have to get on with it and at times it is very hard, but it’s great at Pathways meeting other parents and carers who know what’s involved. Hannah is growing up to be a very loving and funny teenager who makes me laugh everyday and it’s great she has somewhere she can be accepted, loved and cared for by caring staff and volunteers at Pathways4All.”
