Lois & Orli's Big Ticket to New York

RULES

The following rules (“Specific Rules”) together with the general competition terms and conditions (which can be found at http://www.heart.co.uk/terms-conditions/ (the “ Competition Terms and Conditions”) of Communicorp UK (as defined in the Competition Terms and Conditions) apply to Lois & Oli’s Big Ticket to New York competition (the “Competition") which will run from Monday 11th September 2017 to Friday 22nd September on Heart North Wales (the “Radio Station”).

Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have read and accepted the Specific Rules and the Competition Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them.

Details of the Competition:

Weekdays on Heart Breakfast from Monday 11th September – Thursday 21st September the presenters will invite listeners to text into the studio for a chance to play. An entrant will then be randomly selected to play the game.

To enter the Competition an Entrant must send a text message starting with the word “TICKET” to 82122 (the “Text Message Line”). Text messages will be charged at standard network rates. The opening and closing times of the Text Message Line will be given out on air.

All Entrants selected to play on air will be required to talk to the presenter(s) and the conversation will be recorded and played on-air.
If the caller fails to answer a return call from Communicorp UK, is driving at the time of the call and is unable to pull over, cannot continue the call for any reason or the phone line is not of a suitable quality for broadcast (at the discretion of the producer) the call may be terminated and another Entrant selected at random.

The selected Entrant must correctly name the American music artist by listening to a clip of one of their songs played by the presenters.

If the Entrant gets the answer wrong, another Entrant will be randomly selected from the texts received and the game re-played.  This will repeat until a correct answer is obtained on-air.

There will be 9 finalists in total generated on weekdays from Monday 11th September – Thursday 21st September.

On Thursday 21st September after the 9th finalist has been generated, two finalists will be selected at random off-air to take part in the final on Friday 22nd September.

Both finalists are required to attend in person at The Studios at Heart on Mold Rd in Wrexham between 7am and 10am on Friday 22nd Septemeber.

If they cannot attend in person another finalist will be selected at random.

On Friday 22nd September the two finalists will be brought to air on Heart Breakfast and asked a question – the finalist with the closest answer to the question will win the prize (trip to New York, USA).

The runner up will win the runner’s up prize (trip to York, UK)
