Music event at Penny Blacks


Students at Yale College, Wrexham will be hosting a music event at Penny Blacks on Thursday the 24th May 2012 at 7:30pm until 1:30am. Decks, Dubs and Rock ‘N’ Roll will include a wide range of musical genres for most audiences including Rock, Heavy Metal, Dubstep, House, Hardcore and Drum and Bass. The event is being hosted in conjunction with Hope house as part of the corporate challenge which gives organizations £50 pound as a fund raising tool. All proceeds raised by the event will go to Hope House charity. Tickets for the Decks, Dubs, and Rock ‘N’ Roll event will cost £3 per person and £5 for a ticket and a CD recorded by the performers.

Rhostryfan Carnival

Saturday May 26th  at 12:00 in Ysgol Rhostryfan. Stalls, Bouncy Castlem Face Painting and Horseriding for children and fancy dress competitions being judged by Reinallt Davies who plays Callum in Rownd a Rownd.

CLASSIC CLAPTON

The Cavern, Mathew Street, Liverpool, L2 6RE on Friday 1st June, 8.30pm
CLASSIC CLAPTON the World's No1 Eric Clapton Tribute Band featuring front-man Mike Hall will be making a welcome return to The Cavern in June. The band will be performing at the world famous Cavern Club, Mathew Street, Liverpool on Friday 1st June.  Doors open at 8pm.  Band on stage at 8.30pm.  Tickets priced £10 are available from the box office - Tel: 0151 236 4041.   www.cavernclub.org    The band’s previous appearances there in 2010 & 2011 were a great success.  Fans are therefore advised to book early for their next gig.
They will perform all of EC's classic songs including Wonderful Tonight, Tears in Heaven, Crossroads, I Shot The Sheriff, Cocaine, Lay Down Sally and of course Layla!  There will even be an “UNPLUGGED” segment.

Bolesworth Classic Event on 1st - 4th June. 

There will be a multitude of events taking place over the 4 days and the event aims to be a 'Great British Show' celebrating all that is good about Great Britain. From a Vintage Fayre to a Taste Cheshire Fine Food Villagethere will also be camel racing with Olympic show jumpers coming along to ride them! 

On the Saturday evening we are hosting a 'Big Night Out' which is in support of their chosen charity - The Claire House Childrens Hospice Charity - which is obviously a worthwhile cause and so we need to get awareness to sell tickets!

Llandudno Antiques & Collectors Fair Weekend

50 Hour Football for Refilwe

The football match will take place on 2nd - 4th June 2012 at Calday Grammar School, West Kirby. It is an 11-a-side match with 2 18 man squads. Full football rules apply except we are allowed unlimited substitutions.  All money raised goes to support the little know Refilwe Community Project in South Africa (www.refilwe.org)

Saturday 2nd June - Kick off (12pm) and family fun day.  (Stalls, Bouncy Castles, BBQ, Games and lots more)

Sunday 3rd June - Mini football tournament alongside main football match.

Peace Festival

Lache Has Talent is a new talent show for Chester. Application deadline is Friday 25th May and and auditions to take place first 2 weeks in June. The final is being judged by XFactor 2011 finalist "Sami Brookes" and Chester FC Goal Keeper "John Danby" Sami Will also be performing on the day. Sue Ryders 10k walk which explores the grounds of Norman castle.

21st September at 10.30pm, the event will start with plently of music and entertainment and will be followed by a fun warm up from a local fitness guru to get you geared up before setting out under the stars at midnight.
