Drugs raids on the Wirral

150 Merseyside Police Officers raid 21 homes on the Wirral and in Liverpool

Suspected drug dealers had a rude awakening on Thursday morning as police officers broke down their doors.

The searches came as investigations into the supply of class A drugs on the Wirral continue, with two houses in Liverpool also being visited by officers.

In one house in Birkenhead search teams found £10,000 cash, as officers in Liverpool found drugs, believed to be cocaine and heroin with a street value of £15,500.

Sixteen men and five women have been arrested at the address in Rock Ferry, Birkenhead, Bidston, Aigburth and Netherton, all suspected of being involved with the supply of drugs in the Wirral area.
