Ex-pats still looking for missing Wirral pensioner

Teams still hunting the holiday island of Lanzarote

Margaret Holt, 65, was last seen on December 23rd leaving her hotel in the resort of Costa Teguise.

The seasoned walker from the Wirral is feared to have fallen whilst out in the northerly Orzola region of the island but has not been seen since.

Official search and rescue teams were stood down after 72 hours, leaving ex-patriates and other residents organising searches themselves along with Mrs Holt's son, Ben Riley, and his wife, Clare.

Mike Cliffe-Jones runs the Lanzarote Information Website, and has been one of the people searching the island.  He's been talking to Heart's Andy Downton
