Carers at the North Clywd Animal Rescue Centre say that the Jack Russell lucky to be alive.

A driver going past the North Wales centre spotted the dog's eyes shining in the headlights and stopped to see what it was.

Frosty, as he's been named by staff, was tied by a chair to the gates of the rescue centre as temperatures dropped and snow fell.

"If he had have been left overnight he probably wouldn't have been with us today."
