Liverpool fans face travel trouble

Engineering works to cause train chaos for fans heading to Wembley.

Engineering works between Crewe and Warrington along with other works further down the West Coast Mainline, mean that Liverpool fans heading to Wembley on May 5th won't be able to let the train take the strain.

Virgin Trains have told Heart that passengers will need to travel via Manchester or Chester, or use Stoke-on-Trent station to get to London.

The major problem though is that the 5.15 kick off means that there will be no trains back to the North after the game, with limited services on the Sunday too.
