Mum Of St Helens Crash Girl: Heartbroken

Violet-Grace Youens died in her mum's arms on Saturday night.

Rebecca Youens paid tribute to her ``brave baby girl'' on Facebook.

``My beautiful baby girl passed away in my arms on 25/03/2017 at 23:38,''

``Thank you for all your well wishes... she was just too poorly.

``However, my brave baby girl saved two lives by donating her kidneys and pancreas.

``I am truly heartbroken but proud of my little fighter.''

The family have also put out a statement: ``Devastated by the loss of their beautiful daughter but they wanted the organ donations to benefit other children and give them a chance to lead long and happy lives''.

Violet Grace's Grandmother, Angela French who is 55 remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

They were struck by a stolen black Ford Fiesta at around 3pm on Precot Road.

Two men were caught on CCTV running from the scene.

Merseydside Police say a 23-year-old man from Prescot has been arrested on suspicion of being carried on a stolen vehicle. He has been released pending further enquiries.
