New Beatles Train in Liverpool

Merseyrail come up with new way to promote city attraction

The train features iconic images of the 'Fab Four', to promote The Beatles Story Albert Dock and Pier Head visitor attractions.

The new look design – or ‘train wrap’ – has been specially commissioned and saw the train peeled back to its base layers, and the design “wrapped” around the carriages.

Jerry Goldman, Managing Director of Beatles Story attraction said; "This is one of the most unusual marketing projects we've embarked on to date and I'm really looking forward to seeing our Beatles Story train carriage spreading the word about one the world's most exciting musical attractions right across Merseyside.

"The finished train really does look fantastic."

Councillor Mark Dowd, a former train driver and Chairman of Merseytravel said: “The Merseyrail network carries some 34 million passengers every year. This train is unique, in creating an innovative and high impact advertisement aimed at promoting the Beatles story to visitors to the City”.

Bart Schmeink, Merseyrail Managing Director added; “Merseyrail offers a hassle-free link to many attractions across Merseyside and beyond.

"We are delighted to work together with our partners to encourage the travelling public and visitors to see all that Merseyside has to offer.

"And now passengers can travel not only on the most punctual network in the UK but also on the best looking train"
