Police appeal after a fatal shooting
The search is on for the person responsible for a fatal shooting in Liverpool.
A man believed to be in his mid 20's was gunned down in Everton last night.
Police say the victim was found lying on the pavement in Lloyd Close with serious injuries, after a member of the public reported hearing several loud bangs.
He was taken to the Royal Liverpool University Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
The victim is believed to have been aged in his mid-20s; efforts are being made to identify who he is and inform his family.
Detectives are treating it as a targeted attack.

Detectives are carrying out house to house enquiries to see if anyone saw or heard anything suspicious and CCTV from the surrounding area is being examined.
