Wirral woman throws herself from taxi

Police are investigating why a 23 year old jumped from window.

Merseyside Police have told Heart that the 23 year old from Upton, Wirral, was travelling from the Wirral to Liverpool in the early hours of Thursday morning (27th) when she had opened the taxi window whilst in the Wallasey tunnel and had been leaning out of it.

As the taxi drove down Kirkdale Road at around 1.15am the woman then is believed to have jumped out of the window whilst the taxi was moving, she is now being treated in hospital where her condition is described as serious.

Merseyside Police say they're looking at CCTV as well as talking to the taxi driver.  They're urging anyone who saw what happened to contact them on 0151 777 5444 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
