Robbie Savage on the defensive

Attacking footballer Robbie Savage has been defending his Strictly Come Dancing routine.

His Michael Jackson-style pelvic thrusts during the Halloween themed show sparked controversy. The BBC has received 267 complaints about last weekend's routine from the former footballer.

Writing on Twitter, Savage says he upset 267 people out of 11 and a half million on Saturday night with MJ moves and goes on to say the complaints won't put him off.

He tweeted: "So some people thought it was inappropriate to do a Michael Jackson move at 7pm on a sat night to one of his songs ! Why?

Seriously what is the world coming to when on an entertainment show people complain about a famous MJ move which my 5 year old loves doing!"
