It only seems like five minutes ago we were trying to get our figures back after new year! I remember reading the sea of articles about how to get the better of those bingo wings, muffin bellies and how to tackle full on flabby bits.
As always the press ups, tricep dips and sit ups stopped around the second week of the year. Now along with most other people I'm panicking about the forthcoming summer holiday. It's just weeks and in some case not many days until we are expected to look good on the beach in our swim wear. That is easier said than done! Why is it swim wear always look pretty good when you see it in the shops yet its a whole different story when you look back at those all important holiday pics. Thank goodness we can delete pics immediately on new cameras. Do you remember the days when you had to get pictures developed and the bad ones used to linger around as long as our fat bits?
After watching so many of you take part in Race for Life events so far this summer, I've decided to get out of my comfort zone and stick my name on the wall for a half marathon. I've never run such a distance (13 miles) so I'm looking forward to the challenge. It's not until October. I'm currently doing 2 gym sessions a week. I've just bought some cheap dumbbell weights too.
So I'm in it with you! Here's to getting fit this summer
