Weekend TV

Hope you had a 10 out of 10 weekend. I spent most of the weekend with my family.

My little niece Hattie is who is 15 months old insisted that I sit with her and watch her favourite TV shows - who was i to refuse?! Now, like any parent of a little one, I am an expert in the world of In The Night Garden. I know my Iggle Piggle from my Upsy Daisy and I couldn't possibly confuse either of them with Macka Packa!

Rather more concerning I seem to have become an overnight fan off.......The Gruffalo! Its all about a mouse who encounters several dangerous animals (a fox, an owl, and a snake). Each of these animals, clearly intent on eating the mouse, invites it back to their home for a meal. The cunning mouse declines each offer. To dissuade further advances, it tells each animal that it is going to dine with his friend, a gruffalo, whose favourite food happens to be the relevant animal - it is.......SO CUTE!

I finished the weekend off by watching an old favourite Mary Poppins. How many of us have grown up with this movie? Despite having seen it around 50,000 times - I still can't say  'Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious' backwards!!

I must say it was a great weekend however I am now yearning for some adult company!!!
