Get To Know Steve
Find out what Steve's ideal Saturday night is, who he'd like to play him in the film of his life and what his guilty pleasure is...
What is your earliest memory?
It has to be having a tantrum on Brighton seafront!!! I wanted to go to the arcade games and my parents wanted to go and get dinner. I screamed and shouted and eventually got my own way. Unfortunately tantrums don't work as well when you get older.
Which living person do you most admire and why?
It has to be someone like Steve Jobs or Oprah. It's interesting that both were told they wouldn't make much of themselves and both overcame the setbacks and made something of themselves.
What is your most treasure possession?
My iPad - it has everything on it. It's like a perfect partner - easy to use and it never answers back (until you spill water on it).
Who would play you in a film about your life?
Robert Downey Jnr. He is probably a bit better looking than me, but I think he could do me justice.
What is your favourite smell?
Ok - the best smell ever - Abercrombie & Fitch - Fierce aftershave. It drives people crazy.
What is your favourite book?
I'm the only person I know who has read this. It's a book my Mel Cheren called 'My Life and the Paradise Factory'. it's about living and clubbing in New York City in the 70s/80s. I would have loved to have been around back then.
What is your guiltiest pleasure?
Finding a TV show that no one knows about and spreading the word. 'Dexter' and 'Breaking Bad' are two of my best finds.
What is your perfect Saturday night?
Obviously keeping you lively presenting Club Classics. But if you gave me a night off and I could go anywhere in the world it would be a beach bar called Ku Da Ta in Bali - watching the sun set with amazing cocktails and chilled out beach tunes.
What's the one tip you can give?
Enjoy yourself have fun and laugh every day. 90% of the stuff we worry about actually never happens...so the message is don't worry!!!!
