Music and Books
What can I say? Sharleen Spiteri was amazing at last night’s Heart's Love Music Live intimate gig and I can guarantee the crowd there would echo that!
She went down a storm, performing new tracks from her 'Movie Songbook' album, as well as classic Texas songs such as 'Say What You Want', 'Halo', 'Black Eyed Boy', 'Summer Son' and 'I Don’t Want A Lover'. And the moment Xanadu kicked in, the energy level in the room went up another notch – and that was before the 2 encores!! There’s something very special about getting to see great performers like Sharleen in a small venue. So just imagine what it will be like, being one of the luck 300 who will get to see Robbie Williams up close and personal at our next Love Music Live gig in a couple of weeks. Don’t forget, your chance to be there starts in Heart Breakfast on Monday. Good luck!!
One other bit of news from yesterday – it was World Book Day, a day which would normally have passed me by to be honest. But thanks to my kids school, it’s become the centre of attention of the last week. They asked for all school children to go in today dressed as their favourite book character, which is a great idea unless you’re the parents who have to come up with the costumes! But it’s not just World Book Day, there’s been Space Day (that was even more tricky, trust me), Victorian Day and other “dress your child in clothes you probably haven’t got” days. I’m seriously wondering if I should launch a shop, providing costumes for kids and headache relief for stressed parents!!
The sun’s finally out. I’m off to enjoy it – have a great weekend!
