  • Making their debut this year were Dukes Of Hazzard and Knots Landing.
  • After just 14 episodes, Fawlty Towers came to an end.

The Boomtown Rats released 'I Don't Like Monday's ', which was inspired by a US school shooting earlier in the year. When asked why she did it, the teenage shooter simply replied "I Don't Like Monday's" .
