Children injured in bus crash

Fifteen children have been hurt after the bus they were travelling in crashed with a lorry near Bicester.

It happened on the A41 at Kingswood - between Bicester and Aylesbury - at 3.45pm on Wednesday 9 June 2010.

Twenty nine youngsters aged between 5 and 11 were on the bus.  Paramedics and a doctor examined and treated 15 youngsters at the scene while another child was taken to Aylesbury's Stoke Mandeville Hospital for a check-up.

None of the children were badly hurt.  The two drivers were uninjured.

Thames Valley Police say many children left the scene of the crash with their parents.

A second crash involving a school bus and a car happened on Abingdon Road in Didcot at 8.10am on Thursday 10 June 2010.  Heart's been told no-one on that bus was injured.  The driver of the VW Golf suffered minor injuries.
