Drug team use YouTube

Oxfordshire's Drug and Alcohol Action Team have published some amusing animated films designed to discourage teenagers from using drugs.

Ones explaining the side effects substances like Ketamine and mephedrone can have on your physical and mental health have been put on YouTube.

The Team have done it because traditional ways of talking about drugs often don't register with the people drug counsellors want to target.

Jo Melling from Oxfordshire's Drug and Alcohol Action Team said: "It’s so important people understand the risks of recreational drug use. These drugs can do massive harm to both users and those around them. These short animated films aim to make people stop and think. They are funny cartoons with very serious messages."
