Two men have been arrested after a police officer was injured as she tried to stop a van being driven by suspected burglars in Aylesbury.

It happened at the junction of Oxford Road and Gatehouse Road at around 1.30pm on Tuesday 20 April 2010.

The woman police officer - who's in her early 30s - had been trying to stop the van with a tyre deflation device, while an unmarked police car was pursuing the van from behind.

Police were alerted after reports a shed had been broken into at Ashfold School in Dorton House, Dorton.

A 20-year-old man was arrested at the scene of the crash.  A second man, aged 18, was arrested a few hours later.

The officer suffered a broken arm and had to go to hospital.
