Billy Eilliot Live From The West End

The Key Theatre is showing a live screening of West End smash hit Billy Elliot this September.

The magnificent blockbuster musical with music by Elton John – is coming to Peterborough live from the West End for the very first time!

This spectacular performance is being shown live on the big screen as it happens in London.

About the show

The miners’ strike of 1984/85 is making life tough in England’s northern pit villages. But against this backdrop of strife, eleven-year-old Billy Elliot secretly discovers a passion for ballet and unites his entire community.

Written by Lee Hall and directed by Stephen Daldry, the Oscar-nominated ‘Billy Elliot’ was a huge hit with audiences and critics in 2000.

Five years later, Daldry and Lee adapted the film to become a spectacular musical, with brilliant music by Elton John and thrilling choreography by Peter Darling.

An instant hit in the West End, it won four Olivier awards in 2006. It went on to become a Broadway smash, with ten Tony awards under its belt. Now cinema audiences can enjoy the best seat in the house for a special live West End performance of this most uplifting of musicals.
