Boy Hit By Car on Oundle Road.

A 9 year old on a bike is critically ill after colliding with a car on Oundle Road yesterday afternoon around 4pm.

It happened by British Sugar and the road was closed for some time to allow the air ambulance to land.

He was treated at the scene by the emergency services before staff from the Helimedix charity on board were able to give him anaesthetic so he could be flown straight to Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge for specialist Trauma Care.

Police took the boys family to the hospital on blue lights so they could be by his side.

This morning, police have told us he's still critical.

Cambridgeshire Police say they are looking for witnesses as they try and work out how it happened. You can call them on 0845 456 4564 if you saw the incident.
