CCTV Video Of Spalding Robbery

Lincolnshire Police have released a CCTV video of a robbery at a bank in Spalding.

The robber made off with what police say was a "substantial amount of cash" after holding up Norwich and Peterborough with a weapon hidden inside a bag.

It happened on Friday 22nd January between 4.30pm and 5.00pm.

Detective Sergeant Steve Knubley of Spalding Police says there were large numbers of people around the area at the time.

“I am keen to hear from anyone who saw a similar man hanging around prior to going into the Building Society or saw him walking off afterwards.

"This kind of offence is extremely rare in the Spalding area and the staff who were threatened by the man were shocked but not physically harmed by the man.

"I urge anyone who thinks they may have seen anything to contact me in the strictest confidence,” he said.
