Cambridgeshire Police say they're concerned for the welfare of a Peterborough mum who hasn't been seen since last week.

29 year old Vitalija Baliutaviciene [pictured - right], originally from Lithuania, was last seen leaving her home in Burmer Road, New England, at around 5:10am on Friday 12 August.

Vitalija, who has one child, was due to walk to work in Peterborough but did not arrive there.

Officers are checking CCTV and carrying out house to house inquiries as efforts continue to trace her.

Posters, translated into Lithuanian, are being distributed to factories and other workplaces in the area.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who has seen Vitalija or has any information as to her whereabouts.

Detective Inspector Martin Brunning said: "Vitalija's disappearance is out of character and we are concerned for her welfare.

I would urge anyone who saw her leaving for work on Friday or has seen her since to contact police."

Anyone with any information should call DI Brunning on 0345 456 456 4.
