Crowland: Driver Hurt In Crash

A man has been seriously hurt in a car crash near Crowland, north of Peterborough.

Emergency services were called to the B1166 at 5.45pm yesterday (Saturday) after a white Honda CRV left the road and crashed into a tree.

A 27 year-old man from Deeping St James is reported to have suffered very serious leg injuries, and was flown by air ambulance to Wallsgrave Hospital in the West Midlands for specialist surgery. 

He remains in a critical condition.

The road remained closed until around 1am this morning.
