March: Man Charged With Pedestrian Deaths

A motorist has been convicted of causing the deaths of two pedestrians in March.

24 year old Dominic James Iliffe from Chatteris, and 27 year old James Kiely from London were walking along Wimblington Road at about 3.20am on 11th December 2011 when they were hit and killed.

19 year old Bill Bishop of Station Road, Manea, was yesterday (January 18th) found guilty of causing death by careless driving.

He was remanded in custody and will appear again on Thursday (January 24th) to be sentenced.
