Peterborough Attack - Man Charged

A man has been charged with attempted murder in connection with a serious assault in Peterborough.
Deivydas Jacikas, 21, of Miral Court, Fletton, Peterborough, will appear at Peterborough Magistrates' Court today (Thursday).
Paramedics were called to reports of a man collapsing at an address in Lincoln Road, close to its junction with Taverners Road,at 10.30pm on Saturday (October 1st).
The 56-year-old had suffered serious injuries and was taken to Peterborough City Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
A 51-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman arrested in connection with the assault in Lincoln Road on Saturday have been bailed until November 8th.
