A Peterborough woman has been jailed for two years for causing death by dangerous driving.

44-year-old Nasreen Bibi, of Crown Street in Peterborough, caused the death of a motorcyclist when she collided with 45-year-old Jay Patel on Paston Parkway in June 2011.

As well as spending two years in prison, she's also been disqualified from driving for two years and will have to take an extended driving test.

Cambridgeshire Police Sergeant Nigel Jennings said:"I hope this conviction acts as a reminder to all motorists of the need for correct planning, timing and judgement whenever driving."
