22 November 2011, 10:19

Police divers have been called in to search a river near Whittlesea in connection with an investigation into a missing Peterborough mum.

29 year old Vitalija Baliutaviciene, who is originally from Lithuania, was last seen leaving her house in Burmer Road in the New England area of Peterborough early on the morning of August 12th.

Now, specialist dive teams have been called in to search some water near Whittlesea just off the B1040.

Around seven police divers will search the water, and a separate team with sniffer dogs will look in nearby woods.

A 46 year old man, who has been charged with kidnapping and murdering Vitalija, is being held by police before appearing in court in January.
