Peterborough: Off Licence Armed Robbery

Cash and alcohol has been stolen, during an armed robbery at an off licence in Peterborough.

Five men wearing balaclavas and carrying what has been described as a knife and brick, entered the store in St Paul's Road at about 10pm yesterday (Wednesday).

They threatened two members of staff before demanding money and alcohol. One of the men threw a brick in the store.

All of the men were described as white, aged between 24 and 30, 5'8" to 5'10" and spoke with a foreign accents.

They were wearing black hooded tops and black balaclavas with eye holes.

Detective Constable Sarah Morley, investigating said: "This was a terrifying incident for the staff members who were repeatedly threatened and intimidated.

"We are carrying out house-to-house enquiries and checking CCTV in the area.

"I would appeal for anyone who was in the area at the time to contact police."
