Peterborough Sexual Assaults

Police are investigating reports that two eleven year old girls were sexually assaulted by a man in Peterborough.

The incidents, which both happened last week, are being linked by detectives.

On both occasions a man riding a bike has sexually assaulted the victim.

Extra police officers are now patrolling the areas where the attacks are said to have taken place.

The first attack happened last Tuesday at 5:30pm in an alleyway off Stonebridge in Orton Malborne.

The attacker is described as being about 6'1'', slim, 30 to 40, with short blond hair, spiky at the front, and wearing a brown waist-length coat.

The second was last Thursday at just after 5pm, when the victim was walking in The Village in Orton Longueville, near a cut through to Stonebridge.

The offender is described as white, about 5'11'', slim, between 30 and 40, with blond short hair.

He wearing black trousers, a black jacket, was carrying a JD Sports bag and was riding a red bike that was old and muddy.

Detective Sergeant Rob Norman, who is investigating, said: "These are concerning incidents and we would like to speak to anyone who has any information.

If you recognise the descriptions of the offenders, or have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area, call police."

Anyone with any information is asked to call DS Norman on 0345 456 456 4 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
