Peterborough: Travellers On Embankment

A group of travellers have set up camp on The Embankment in Peterborough.

A spokesperson for Enterprise Peterborough told Heart: "We can confirm that up to nine caravans are on the Embankment having gained entry yesterday evening (Tuesday 4th June). The gate that was used to gain access was padlocked."

"We will continue to monitor the situation and will facilitate a site visit with Peterborough City Council to carry out an assessment and begin eviction proceedings."
