Queen Elizabeth II was cheered by thousands of people on her visit to Stamford.
Her Majesty attended a garden party at Burghley House in Stamford before a visit to the town as part of her Jubilee Tour.

The Queen had arrived by helicopter on the grounds of Burghley House and was joined by 8000 people for a picnic.
After lunch and a fly-past by the Red Arrows, she travelled in her Bentley for a parade through the streets of Stamford. Her route included Red Lion Square, St Paul's Street and St George's Square.
Prince Philip was not present while he recovered from a bladder infection.
