A victim has been left 'devastated' following the theft of sentimental jewellery from a home in Peterborough.

Cambridgeshire Police have released an image of distinctive jewellery stolen from a property in Peterborough, in an attempt to trace it.

Offenders stole rings, sovereigns and a tie clip from the property in Lawn Avenue between 11.30am and 12.40pm on October 7.

The stolen items included a pocket watch on a gold chain.

Detective Constable Adam Blake, investigating, said: "This burglary has devastated the victim as much of the stolen jewellery held great sentimental value.

I would urge anyone who is offered any of the items for sale, or knows of their whereabouts, to call police."
