Detectives investigating the disappearance of a Peterborough mum have arrested a third person.

29 year old Vitalija Baliutaviciene [pictured - right] was last seen leaving her home in Bumer Road, New England, almost six weeks ago.

Police say they are "very concerned for her welfare".

Now, a woman, also 29, has been arrested in Peterborough and is being held in custody at Thorpe Wood Police Station.

A 39 year old woman, also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, is currently on Police bail.

A 46 year old man, arrested on suspicion of kidnap and murder, remains in Lithuania awaiting extradition.

Officers are continuing to focus their search around the Upwood area and are keen to trace the movements of a green Mercedes Vito van, registration number ANU 666, between 7am and 9am on the morning Vitalija went missing.
