Thurlby: Young Girls Injured In A15 Crash

Lincolnshire Police say two 11 year old girls have been hurt after being hit by a car in Thurlby, north of Peterborough.

Emergency services were called to the A15 Main Road just before 4pm today.

It followed a report that a vehicle had collided with two 11-year-old girls who were pedestrians.

They were  being treated for potentially serious head injuries and taken to hospital.

Motorists were being asked to avoid the area as the A15 was shut for accident investigation work, affecting traffic travelling between Bourne and Market Deeping.

Any witnesses to the incident are asked to call Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 223 of January 7, 2014.
