Lincolnshire Police say two 11 year old girls have been hurt after being hit by a car in Thurlby, north of Peterborough.

Emergency services were called to the A15 Main Road just before 4pm today.

It followed a report that a vehicle had collided with two 11-year-old girls who were pedestrians.

They were  being treated for potentially serious head injuries and taken to hospital.
