The 41-year-old entertainer has a career spanning decades, but he hasn't forgotten about those less fortunate than him. He's donated 150 personal items to be sold by Bonhams auction house for Donna Louise Children's Hospice, including handwritten lyrics for 'Let Me Entertain You', the cream suit he wore in the music video for 'Radio' and a Take That MTV video music award. The singer who raised £150,000 said: "It's a privilege for me to be a patron of The Donna Louise Children's Hospice".
When Swift, 25, heard young fan Naomi Watts, 11, was in hospital with leukaemia and couldn't attend the singer's gig in Phoenix, Taylor sent the girl a sweet message saying "To the beautiful and brave Naomi, I'm sorry you have to miss it, but there will always be more concerts. Let's focus on getting you feeling better. I'm sending the biggest hugs to you and your family.". The 'Bad Blood' singer also donated a whopping $50,000 to the Naomi's family, to go towards her cancer treatment costs.

The 'Blank Space' singer offered up no less than 15,000 dollars after hearing the family's plight when mother & son suffered a head-on car collision. Firefighter Aaron was forced to save his loved ones after responding to an emergency call. The vital funds will go to support Amber VanRiper and her seven-year-old son Jonathan after their life-changing injuries.
It seems there is such a thing as the kindness of strangers, as young Josiah Duncan proved when he asked his mother to buy a homeless man dinner. The five-year-old boy pleaded with his mother Ava Faulk to purchase a meal for the homeless man after he saw him outside a Waffle House in Albama. Karam and Kartari Chand have been married for 89 years and this week they've also celebrated their joint birthdays with Karam turning 109 and his wife 102. The happy couple, who have 8 children, put their longevity down to a healthy diet, though they admit that Karam enjoys a cigarette before their evening meal, followed by a little whisky or brandy a few times a week.
A dog who survived being trapped in a rabbit hole for four days was saved by the bell. Henry, a seven-year-old Border Terrier, disappeared while on a walk in Prestbury. Remembering that the dog would bark at the sound of her doorbell his determined owner ripped the bell off of her front door and began ringing it for three hours down every rabbit hole until the adorable mutt was found.
A group of pupils have shown their support for a male student who was fined by a school in Brazil for wearing a skirt as part of his uniform. Maria Muniz, 17, who was born Mario Muniz, said she had never felt happy as a boy and decided to come out by wearing a skirt to school. The heroic tabby cat rose to fame after a video surfaced online of the fearless kitty saving its four-year-old owner Jeremy Triantafilo from a vicious dog attack. In honour of the Tara's incredible bravery and loyalty, the moggy was called upon to throw the first pitch at a Lancaster Jethawks game at the Bakersfield Blaze stadium. Heroic fireman Ross McLaren ended up delivering a baby on the side of the road after Ewelina Zimnicka went into labour on the way to hospital. The mother-to-be and her husband Jaroslaw were rushing to hospital when Ewelina's contractions suddenly increased. The alarmed couple were stuck in traffic in Ponders End and called for police to help them. Luckily fireman Ross was on hand to deliver baby Antoni safetly in the back of the car.
When Oscar the cat was involved in an accident with a combine harvester, his owners feared he would never walk again. Luckily the kitty has been given a pair of prosthetic paws as part of a world-first operation and state-of-the-art bioengineering, courtesy of neuro-orthopaedic surgeon Noel Fitzpatrick. "Oscar can now run and jump about as cats do," says the heroic surgeon of the black feline's recovery.
A toddler saved his mother's life afar he call 999 and ordered and ambulance to come to his house. The amazing two-year-old dialled the emergency number after his mother passed out and told the operator "mummy's asleep." On arriving at the house in Barrow-upon-Soar the paramedics of East Midlands Ambulance Service found Ms Henry had a large blood clot and needed immediate medical attention which she was able to receive. Riley Ward "really is a brave little boy" said Paramedic Paul Staples.
It's a tale of undeniable puppy love. Back in 2012 two Labrador-Retrievers Venice and Rodd took a shine to each other whilst on a guide dog training course in Stoke-on-Trent. It didn't take long for their owners Claire Johnson and Mark Gaffey to begin to notice one another either.
