Drum roll please! And the award for Heart listeners' pet of the year 2013 is...
"She should win because she is incredible and has saved my life twice."
"Hello we are Mabel and Bessie and we thought it would be unfair if only one of us entered so Heart here we both are! Here are just a few reasons why we should win Heart Pet of the Year! Firstly, we are pretty good looking, have you ever seen another shih tzu take a picture like we do? We think not! Secondly, it was our birthday yesterday and we really didn't do too well on the present front! Winning this award would change that and we would forgive our mummy for buying us rubbish presents! Who wants a rubber ball when you can have a pair of ugg boots? Who wants fake post when you can have real post? Third and finally, we love listening to Heart!"
"This is my best buddy Kipper. I adopted him from The Dogs Trust seven years ago! He isn't just my loyal companion he is also my business partner! We started our own business called Walkies with Us where Kipper helps me train other people's dogs. He is a great role model and should they run off he rounds them up! I Love love love him!"
"Fudge should be Heart Pet of the Year because she's as cuddly as any pet!"
"Barney and Daisy should be named Heart Pets of the Year, because they are beautiful."
"Because we rescued him from a home and he's now nearly 12-years-old! He's the funniest dog ever and he loves popping balloons!"
"I nominate Jessica as Heart Pet of the Year 2013. The reason why is because she has a twisted sense of humour and makes me laugh everyday. She is five-years-old but behaves like a kitten - everything is a toy! She is also exceptionally cute."
"This is Wilson... he deserves Heart Pet of the Year because he is the most loyal friend ever, plus my six-year-old would be over the moon if he won!"
"This is for my friend's dog, Emma. She is called Lola. She is six-years-old and she is always dressed up by my kids and seems to enjoy it."
"This is Layla, my two-year-old Rottweiler. She's from Bristol Dogs Home and she's named after the Eric Clapton song because she has had all the family on their knees when playfully knocking us all over!"
"This is Bruce We got Bruce at 3 weeks old, he had been abandoned in a bag! I hand reared him and he is a now a gorgeous 15mth old. He is very petite but thinks his human and loves being with us all. A real cutie"
"This is ruby, she is six-years-old. She deserves to win because she is such a funny little thing, brightens up our day, every day, and she is already excited for Christmas - I am sure she is half human."
"Baby Ninja - named because she is stealthy and loves to sneak up and try and catch you with her paws! She is a crazy cat, but very lovable."
"She is nine-weeks-old and she deserves to be Pet of the Year 2013 because she is just beautiful and behaves very well!"
"Tilly and Boris come as a pair. They are both 'pre-loved' pets who are now the best of friends. Although they may not have had the best of starts I think they look pretty happy now!!
"Darcy has been my best friend for eight years and always by my side."
"I think she should win because she is like my baby always there to cheer me up when I'm down x."
"Despite being a MASSIVE cat he's just a big softy and is a great companion. He also let's our mouse sit on his head and puts up with my toddler dressing him up!"
"He's so loveable."
"Yogi should win because he's the most loveable, loyal dog in the world and I love him lots."
"Because even though as a baby he was callously dumped in a box in a local park (and I adopted him through the RSPCA) he is still the most friendly and loving animal I have ever known."
"He's so cute, but just plain nuts. He runs into doors and windows and even laughs and is loved by all x."
"After the sudden passing away of my second hamster earlier on in the year, I was going to give up and not have hamsters any more, but I saw Spring in a national pet shop and fell in love with him straight away. He gave me the hope to have another one."
"Look how cute he is after a bath! And he is bigger than my cat."
"Mimi is all very new to this world at 9 weeks old and it would boost her confidence for strutting her stuff once she gets outside in the New Year! And because shes a bundle of fluffy mischief - do not be decived by the cuteness!"
"Hello, my name is Baylie and I belong to my best human pal Rebekah. If you feed me carrots, you're my best friend, although I don't like to share. I love nothing more than to run around your feet and jump up onto your lap for a cuddle :-) and am always there to put a smile back on anyone's face if they're looking a little sad. Please pick me to be Pet of the year 2013! x."
"This is my miniature Shetland Eddie. He should win because he is extremely cute and tiny! Can't find many horses this small! :)"
"My little fur kids name is Ernie Schmernstons, after remarrying and not having anymore children together he is my reason for being. I love him soooooo much."
Hi, I'm Vicki and I would like to nominate my daughters pet horse Dinky. She has been such a confidence boost for my little girl Saskia, showing her that disability doesn't mean you cannot enjoy the great outdoors. Dinky is so loving and patient with Saskia, and provides her with loads of cuddles, giggles and above all much needed physio, getting all her limbs, which are affected by cerebral palsy moving, and keeping flexibility. Dinky deserves to win because she is one of a kind and brings such joy to our family!
