High Demand for Mount Wise

With less than one week to go until the launch of Mount Wise (18th and 19th September), interest is flying high with nearly 500 enquiries from potential buyers already having been received.

With this in mind the organisers of the event have decided to open the doors earlier to cope with the expected demand. The launch weekend is taking place on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th September and is now open from 10am until 5pm. This event will see Admiralty House opened up to the public for the very first time.

The £120m Mount Wise development will create a village by the sea and has appealed to a wide range of prospective buyers. Some are looking to downsize from larger homes whilst others hope to move closer to Plymouth's city centre without compromising on lifestyle.

Housing the new marketing suite, Admiralty House has been given a new lease of life. In addition to the attractive views the centre piece of the suite is the striking fly-through video of the village. More than a minute and a half long, the computer generated video will allow viewers to see the whole site as if on the wings of the bird, with close up shots of the homes, including the stunning Georgian-inspired Crescent. There is even a cricket match complete with moving players!

The rest of the marketing suite has been fitted with a range of large scale canvas style pictures of both the development and the city, and the striking ballroom has also been returned to its former glory.

When complete, Mount Wise will consist of 469 Georgian inspired homes, a hotel, shop, office space, bistro, a technologically advanced data centre and the existing cricket pitch. The site spans an impressive 28 acres and is situated less than a mile from Plymouth’s city centre.

Angus Macdonald, development advisor, commented: "Despite the difficulties in the market place, we have been overwhelmed by the recent enquiries.

"We believe this is largely down to the unique and very special opportunity on offer here at Mount Wise. We are truly excited about this weekend's launch and very much look forward to seeing numerous people through the doors."

Appointments for the launch are not necessary and the outside gates will open at 7am to allow cars entry to the site. The doors to Admiralty House will be open from 10am until 5pm.
