Plymouth Police stamp out graffiti.

Over the last two years police in Plymouth have arrested fifty-nine people for illegal graffiti tagging and stencilling in the city.

Over thirty premises have been searched and a large quantity of graffiti equipment has been seized. As a result of this crackdown the courts have issued over seven thousand pounds in fines and over nine hundred hours of community payback work.

Officers have told Heart they have noticed a real sense of community spirit surrounding those who have had to put up with this vandalism over the years, with graffiti clean up operations undertaken by volunteer groups and individuals.

This city victim has been targetted several times and says the whole experience is draining and upsetting.

She is grateful the police take this sort of crime so seriously: LISTEN HERE
