SOS Day 2012: RNLI Need You!!
SOS Day is the RNLI's biggest annual fundraising event. This year it'll be happening on Friday 27th January.
It's our chance to show our appreciation for all the volunteers that give up their time to save lives. Last year people in the south west raised over £71,000 through SOS fundraising events, and hopefully this year we can do even better.
Volunteers all over Devon are organising fun events to raise money. To find out what's going on near you, click here or visit www.rnli.org.uk/sosday where you'll also find lots of ideas for how you can get involved.
2011 was a busy year for the RNLI in Devon, whose volunteers run 9 lifeboat stations and patrol 16 beaches.
Check out the video below for an idea of how the RNLI work to keep us safe out at sea.
