HAMMERTIME TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The following rules (“Rules”) together with Global Radio ("Global Radio") general and competition terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) (which can be found here) apply to ‘Hammertime’ on Heart radio competition ("the Competition") which will run from 6th September 2010. The "Participating Radio Station" is Heart.
By entering this Competition, anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and to be bound by them.
1. Details of the Competition
1.1 Throughout the Duration of the Competition, listeners to the Participating Radio Station will be invited to enter the Competition for a chance to win.
1.2 An Entrant can enter the Competition by calling 0845 373 7777 when the presenter announces on air.
1.3 Every morning breakfast presenters will select an entrant at random to play. The caller will be required to play a 'word association' game where one presenter will start with a word and the contestant must reply without hesitation a word relating to the first word. This exchange will continue until either the presenter or the contestants hesitates or deviates from the pattern. The competition will be judged by the other presenter and the judges decision is final.
1.4 The entrant can only answer the question once the presenter has finished asking the question and only the first answer given will be accepted.
1. 5 All matters relating to the selection at random of Entrants and all other matters relating to the Competition will be at the discretion of Global Radio and the Participating Radio Station.
1.6 An entrant may only participate in the competition once per calendar month
1.7 All callers that enter the competition and do not get selected may be asked if they would like to take part at a later date when a different prize will be offered and put on a database of 'back-up callers'. Anyone asked this can refuse to be included on the database.
1.8 On the rare instance where no callers enter the competition when asked on air, the breakfast show producer will select a caller at random from the database of 'back up callers'. Upon selection that contestant will be contacted by phone. Should they not answer their phone within 2 minutes another caller will be selected from the database at random.
2.1 Any person using a telephone which is not his or her own should ask for the permission of the owner of the telephone before calling the Telephone Line.
2.2 Any employees of and/or contractors engaged by Global Radio, their immediate family or any other persons directly connected with the Competition are unable to enter into the competition.
2.3 The Competition is open to residents of the UK and Northern Ireland only aged 18 or over.
2.4 Notwithstanding that a winner has been declared, if Global Radio discovers before the delivery of a prize that for any reason under these Rules or Terms and Conditions the winner should have been ineligible to enter the Competition or the entry should have been declared invalid, Global Radio reserves the right to determine that the winner is disqualified.
2.6 Global Radio and the Participating Radio Stations shall not be responsible for any failure on behalf of an Entrant whose telephone call are not received by Global Radio or the Participating Radio Station.
2.7 An Entrant must participate in the Competition himself or herself. In the event that a party other than the Entrant attempts to enter the Competition on behalf of that Entrant (whether disclosed or not), that entry will be forfeited and no Prize will be delivered.
3.1 All decisions of the Global Radio and Participating Radio Stations’ representatives will be final and binding on the Entrants and no correspondence will be entered into.
3.2 The 'grand prize' is a prize as described by the presenters on air. This prize will change daily. If a prize is not won, this prize will 'rollover' to the next day and be added to the following day's prize and so on until the prize is won.
